Dr. Alexander begins seeing patients this Friday in Dallas. She comes to us from the University of Southern California where she earned her undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences. She earned her medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston and subsequently received her ophthalmology training from the prestigious Jules Stein Eye Institute at UCLA and completed a fellowship in cornea and refractive surgery at the Rocky Mountain Lions Eye Institute at the University of Colorado Denver.
She is now available to perform the most advanced techniques in corneal transplantation including endothelial keratoplasty (DMEK, DSAEK) as well as laser-assisted/conventional lamellar keratoplasty and penetrating keratoplasty. She's also received specialty training in refractive surgery, secondary (scleral-fixated) intraocular lens placement, pupilloplasty/anterior segment reconstruction, conventional and femtosecond laser-assisted cataract surgery, and t he medical and surgical management of other complex disease of the ocular surface and the anterior segment.
Dr. Alexander enjoys hiking, camping, listening to live music, and taking her dog on adventures. She is glad to have returned to the great state of Texas to be close to family and the best sources of TexMex and barbeque in the country!
We hope our patients are as happy to have her in the Cornea Associates family as we are.
