LASIK Statistics and Results Dallas / Fort Worth
As part of our commitment to continuous quality improvement, our practice conducts routine studies to review our LASIK results. We are proud to share the results following LASIK, achieved by the doctors at Cornea Associates of Texas. This analysis is based on a 5 different retrospective studies, each reviewing a minimum of 200 eyes. All patients had a wavefront-guided or CustomVue iLASIK procedure using the VISX Star S4 with Iris Registration technology.
We have analyzed the data and are presenting our results, in order to help answer a prospective patient's question "what are my chances of seeing 20/20 after undergoing LASIK surgery?" The data is presented in bar graph format showing the percentage of eyes that achieved various levels of uncorrected visual acuity (i.e. 20/20 or better, 20/25 or better and 20/40 or better). The overall results represent the total group of patients from each of the 5 studies. The range of refractive errors in this study range from -.75 up to -12.75. The refractive error represents the spherical equivalent (i.e. combining the degree of myopia and astigmatism).
Our most recent study results reveal that 95% of our patients achieved 20/20 or better after LASIK. Equally impressive is the finding that nearly half of our patients achieved 20/15 or better following LASIK and 100% of our qualified study patients in 2013 achieved 20/25 or better bilateral vision. The physicians at Cornea Associates of Texas believe this is related to taking advantage of the most state of the art technology with CustomVue iLasik.
We believe our expertise as cornea specialists and our commitment to excellence in every aspect of the LASIK procedure produces these outstanding results. At Cornea Associates of Texas, we are committed to providing the highest quality of care to ensure the best possible results for our patients.
