The Custom iDESIGN technology is a highly accurate, advanced technology that adds corneal topography measurements to the wavefront-guided procedure.  The technology's application in laser eye surgery has been highly successful, offering precise results that, to date, have not been surpassed by any other laser eye surgery.  

Custom iDESIGN treatments work by accurately measuring imperfections in the eye and designing a personalized correction plan for the patient, which is then transferred to the laser that will be used in surgery. Typically, wavefront-guided surgical results are up to 25 times more effective than standard laser eye surgery results!

Preparing for Surgery
First, you will meet with us for a complete medical exam and eye history evaluation; this will determine if you are a good candidate for custom LASIK using the iDESIGN. To qualify, your prescription must be between 0 and 12 diopters if you have myopia and less than 6 diopters is you have astigmatism.

After determining your prescription, we will use iDESIGN to map your vision and identify refractive errors. Based on the results, we will verify your candidacy and design a completely individualized laser treatment plan to be used during surgery.
